"Modern Soft and Hard Tissue Enhancement Approaches in Periodontics and Implant Dentistry"
Presented by Dr. Rodrigo Neiva

Continuing Education Credits: 6

Dr. Neiva earned his Certificate and Master's degree in Periodontics from the University of Michigan, School of Dentistry. He is a Diplomate and a Board examiner of the American Board of Periodontology and a Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantology. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Dentists and a member of the Expert Council of the Osteology Foundation. Dr. Neiva serves as the Director of the Graduate Program in Periodontics of the University of Florida - College of Dentistry. He is active in clinical research related to bone and soft tissue augmentation, as well as novel techniques in Implant and Periodontal Therapy. Dr. Neiva has published various scientific papers and book chapters in the fields of Periodontics and Oral Implantology. He also lectures frequently both nationally and internationally.

"An Overview of the Periodontally Accelerated Orthodontics Technique"
Presented by Tom Wilcko

Dr. Wilcko received a specialty certificate in periodontics from Harvard University and is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Periodontics at Case Western University. He maintains a private practice in periodontics in Erie, Pennsylvania. He and his orthodontics brother, Bill Wilcko, co-developed the Wilckodontics Accelerated Osteogenic Orthodontics or Periodontal Accelerated Osteogenic Orthodontics (PAOO) orthodontic system (www. Fastortho.com). He has co-authored many peer reviewed articles, abstracts, and textbook chapters related to PAOO technique. His main research interest is periodontal aspects of accelerated tooth movement in conjunction with PAOO therapy. Other areas of research interest have included pyrophosphate tartar inhibitors, free radical stability, crestal ultrasound measurements of bone, prostaglandin precursors, and bone vitality. "Four Steps to Commitment for Doctors, Patients, and Staff"
Presented by Char Sweeney, CDPMA

Char Sweeney began her career in dentistry in 1979 as a chair side dental assistant. She attended Ferris State University and the University of Alaska, and received her degree in Allied Health Science Dental Technology. She was also a practice management consultant. She is a graduate of the Dale Carnegie Institute, a member of the Speaking/Consulting Network, and has been published in numerous journals and newsletters throughout the country. Ms. Sweeney's experience and enthusiasm for dentistry, as well as her love of people, enable her to offer concrete solutions to the daily stumbling blocks all practices encounter. She has worked in both the business and clinical aspect of dentistry, and understands the unique challenges that both areas face. Her goal is to help dentists and their teams create a successful practice with everyone reaching their true potential. This program is packed with information that is useful, practical, and easy to implement.
